"She needs to sort out her priorities."

HEY!! I'm back.  I've decided to start back up on this blog back up even though it was originally for a college class I was in last year.  However, last night I was watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and realized all the major fallacies in the story line so I thought I'd go on a rant about it.

First off, why would Dumbledore have Harry stay with the Dursleys?  Ms. Figg was supposedly watching him all Harry's life so why didn't she report to Dumbledore that Harry was being treated like shit?  I mean, come on!  The next point I make is actually something Alex Day said in one of his videos (linked here). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHCUAgC4GoM   I had never thought about the whole wand thing before.  But that must have sucked for Ron and his family.  I hope none of them were supposedly chosen by a super expensive wand.  Or maybe that's why they're poor.  Fucking Bill came along and got chosen by a wand worth a thousand galleons.  Dammit Bill!
Next is the Sorcerer's Stone being guarded in the school.  Dumbledore really fucked up there.  Obviously a stone that can make gold and offers immortality is going to draw trouble.  One of the major hints towards that is when somebody BROKE INTO A SUPPOSEDLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BREAK INTO VAULT!!   Then guarding the stone with Fluffy.  A giant three headed dog in a school full of stupid kids.  Of course somebody is going to start sneaking around the third floor corridor.  I'm surprised Fred and George Weasley even made it out alive that year.
Then there's the detention that they had to serve.  They had to go into the forbidden forest in the middle of the night looking for a unicorn that had been maimed by something so horrible it would drink unicorn blood.  Don't get me wrong, I loved Dumbledore and cried when *SPOILER ALERT* he died, but he made a lot of shitty choices as headmaster.

That's all that's really important for the Sorcerer's Stone.  I'll be back next week with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

(You should really check out more of Alex Day.  He's hilarious.)
